A Gambling Casino On Jekyll, The Truth Be Told. Well Here we go again and the truth pops out as to why the expensive Condos on Jekyll.
Lauren on the radio has been pushing the issue of a Gambling Casino button all last week and again this morning.
Yes sir, just use that state and federally funded pier at the north end to dock the gambling ship, turn it into a site seeing tour boat and place a gambling casino on Jekyll right down from or with in the condo or plaza and wa la, Interesting.

Lauren is one of the local talk show host. we have several shows here locally.
Lauren on WGIG 1440 AM begins at 7-10 AM M-F
Wesley & Dee WCGA 1100 AM begins at 7-9 M-F
Joe Willy on WYNR also morning show

I remember now. His show is called "Straight Talk". I've listened to it while on the island in years past, but it's been awhile. I found the WGIG message board and there's been some pretty spirited debate there.

I see more propaganda on their board than truth of anything. laugh. but it is very comical and amusing at times. Sounds like one guy debating with himself. laugh. but what ever floats their boat I guess.

I have said from the get go that this development was the infrastructure to usher in state sponsored gambling on Jekyll. .
A gambling ship will never dock at the Jekyll pier. The water moves too fast is just one of the problems. The other one is that there is no parking

Well if there is a Casino on the Island I guess they would not need the Gambling Ship nor the pier. I heard that the peir is falling in and that it had two of it's support pilings knocked out from under it. Good way to take care of our FEDERAL tax dollars that built it. That should make the World Evening News. A Pier to No Where.

Jeykll Island does not need a Casino on it we don't want a Las Vegas on the East Coast nor do we want a Biloxi for the East Coast. IF YOU WANT TO GAMBLE GET ON THE BOAT IN BRUNSWICK OR GO TO JACKSONVILLE TO THE DOG TRACK OR BILOXI OR LAS VEGAS. Jeykll Island is a Family Island lets keep it that way!! |
